Jip is enthusiastic about the research into the right tone for the film. Colour is often the starting point for her design, she also likes emptiness. The interesting thing about filmmaking is that you can adapt reality to enhance the story.
Jip works under her own name, but primarily within the production design duo Mas & Jap. She has been forming this duo with her business partner Mies Bongenaar since 2022.
Before studying Production Design at The Netherlands Film Academy, Jip completed her propaedeutic year in Trendresearch & Concept Development at the Fontys University in Tilburg. Before that she studied Interior Design and Pedagogics at the Koning Willem I College in Den Bosch.
